Swoon Fine Art presents Maria Doering at the Lobby Gallery at Embassy Towers in Halifax

Swoon Fine Art recently offered me the opportunity to exhibit in a somewhat unusual venue. The lobby of an apartment building. It is a beautiful space but access is limited to the people who live in the building and their guests. It is rare that I will turn down an opportunity to show my work as long as the work is safe I am happy to share it with the world, even if it is a restricted situation.

Install day in the Lobby Gallery at Embassy Towers in Halifax, NS.

The final install turned out lovely, it's like someones fancy living room.

Snacks and punch for the opening reception and artist talk.

All set up and ready to go for the opening.

The audience at the talk was VERY engaged. It's always a pleasure to share my passion and experiences with a group of people who are interested and clearly enjoying themselves. It was a pleasure to say the least!

This talk was quite different from my usual artist talks since the work displayed was a good mix of projects and the audience was very interested in techniques and learning more about Printmaking.

The questions just kept coming.

A kind thank you to Swoon Fine Art for the opportunity to exhibit at Embassy Towers and to the lovely people living in Embassy Towers who came and shared their thoughts and enthusiasm with me.
