Opening Reception of Inside Me and other exhibitions at the I.C.C.A.

Here some highlights from the opening receptions of the 3 Fibre Exhibitions that are currently going on at the Inverness County Centre for the Arts.

This here is Penny Beren's incredible hand stitched Journal.. 3 years worth of adventures. She has her Journal and other "scratchings" up in the long hall gallery at the Arts Centre.

This was one of my favorite pieces by  Rebecca Paterson part of the Structures Exhibition juried and organized by SAQA (Studio Arts Quilt Associates).

Below photos from the opening reception.

The SAQA regional representative doing an introductory speech.

Crowds during the artist talks.

Penny Berens giving her little artist talk about her Journal and scratchings.

My own little talk about the process of making "Inside Me".

Regina Marzlin and her piece in combining screenprinting and traditional techniques.

End of the evening goofiness. Art love. ;)

So glad I got a photo with Elizabeth Whalley! You are amazing!!

And thank you to Elizabeth for providing me with most of the photos from the Opening Reception.
