Endless Possibilities 2015 Emerging Artist Exhibition and Contest - Award Ceremony

The Endless Possibilities Exhibition had its Closing Award Ceremony on April 9th. Scott and I had a great time at the event. I had a lot of opportunity to speak to an array of people about my work and what they thought as well as mingle with the other artists.

(All Photos in this post were taken by myself or my husband Scott Fisher)

Some of my favourite work in the show is by clay artist Nancy Roberts, whom I finally had the chance to meet! She turns what looks to be an ordinary brick into incredible lively sculptures.

This is me speaking with Politician Megan Leslie who is the MP for Halifax as well as the NDP deputy leader. I love this Lady's energy!

I also had the pleasure of briefly speaking to the Honourable Lena Metlege Diab who is the Minister of Justice, Minister of Immigration and an MLA for Halifax (Armdale). This is her taking a good look at my paintings.

I had a wonderful conversation about Acrylic painting with these two ladies.

Violinist Renaud Lapierre and cellist Shimon Walt

I had no idea they would ask each of us to go up and say a few words... Impromptu speeches in front of crowds.. Oh boy, I think I bombed this one. I don't even remember what I said.
What I really wanted to say but couldn't get out as I turned into a confused nervous wreck:

"I thank my husband who is my rock in this strange place called the art world. He is unwavering support and I can ALWAYS count on him. He is there no matter what happens. I am the luckiest woman in the world to have found you, Scott."

Just insert this into the nervous babble.
