Cultivating Strength - new screen prints

Over the last few months I have been working on a series of new screen prints. Inspired by my cellular formation drawings the screen printing process allowed me to use the same language, patterns and textures as my drawings in a more vibrant way.
Swoon gallery put out a call for a Juried Pop-up exhibition "No Place like Home" and since my on-going theme is the body in particular the female body as a challenge to this theme I explored creating imagery with the one place every human being has called home at one point. The place that is different for everyone and yet universially the same. The Mother's womb. The mother's body. These prints where inspired by this concept and it will be a concept that I will continue to explore for a while.
If anyone is interested in any of these print, please send me an email or a message and we can discuss pricing. One print of "Cultivating Strength" Edition has already found it's way to my newest collector in Boston! All proceeds go to my residency at Zea Mays printshop in the Fall!
