Celebratory Litho

As treat to celebrated all that work that I did for the past 10 months I drew up a small litho on my own little litho stone. :) My grandpa had gotten it for me a few years ago and it is always a treat to work on it. I think I am going to explore the figure without a set ground/background for a while. I am starting to really enjoy playing with what happens if the paper is the ground, if it is free floating. It opens up an entirely different way of thinking about the support that I am printing on. :)

I think the drawing is pretty much done in this one.
Image ready to be printed. (After it was etched, rolled up and etched again.)

The stone on the press.

This is fresh of the press, the wet sheet of Rives BFK cream.
Just a quick shot of what it looks like on rice paper. Better images will follow once I decided if I am going to print any of my patterns over top.
