Printmaking Residency in Val David, QC

Hey friends, so I was incredibly fortunate to be invited for my first artist residency at a printshop. And that is where I have been for the past week, it is time to show some work in progress. I'm working in image size 20 inch x 26 inch printing on 22x30 sheet of white Rives BFK. I've so far finished carving a 20x24 inch linocut, and am in the process of editioning it, this will make up for the first 2 layers on the print i'm working on. I'm also working on a large 26x20 stone lithograph which will be printed ontop of the patterns. So that's the plan. :)

First good proof of the pattern.

Testing it on my blue paper.

on red.

on green

lighter layer.

i decided to edition it in a light color and to then turn the block around and edition it again with a darker color on top. :) making the most of on block! :)
and this is the litho that eventually will be printed over all the patterns :).
