j'ai fini?!
Finished I guess. :) I'm going to wait a couple of days before I clean it up and sign it.. just in case the ink settles and I feel it is necessary to print one more dark layer. But I am pretty happy with it the way it is now. So we'll see.
8 layers. My undergrad profs in Hartford would applaud that it's "only" 8 layers.. and not 30... ;) yes I learn! Slowly and painfully but I dooo! I used to mix my inks VERY VERY lightly, these days I am not shy to put in pigment! Thank you John Willis for hammering that into my head! Basic rule of thumb in Monotype.. when you think you have enough pigment in your ink.. ADD MORE! And if you are planning on getting 5 sheets out of it and not 3 or 4 ... then ADD even MORE! It's kind of creepy that I still have John's voice in my head bickering... MARIA! ADD MORE PIGMENT! Your inks are WAY too transparent! ... therefore my mind says.. I know John you are right... and I add twice as much pigment.
