Weekly Update
I have been dragging myself to the studio the past days... I don't know just not feeling it right now. Definitely not feeling being all alone there either. well anyways so here are some details on what I have been working on in addition to that new litho.

Small linocut in progress... 2-3 more colors to print.
The transparencies for silkscreen.

The lovely Joanne has been patiently teaching me how to silkscreen, I swear I am not a huge idiot, but I feel like one when I am silkscreening. It's so easy and simple that I struggled with it in the beginning. Last Friday we printed 3 colors and I think I am slowly figuring it out and enjoying it quite a bit more. The red I had to print 3 times because the UV ink is so transparent that it was a light pink when we did the first layer. Either way I am thinking another 2-3 different colors on this baby.
Then I printed it also on top of an already printed lithograph to see how the two techniques work together. It's very fascinating how the UV ink just sits on top of the paper, it doesn't sink or settle in at all.

WOW! I'm LOVING that. The detail shot is beautiful. I'm so blown away, Maria. Just think of where you were at this time last year. You've come far since graduating. Totally breaking your own mold. :D
Oh man this time last year I had just made it to France I think... after moving... and graduation and all the insanity...
At the end of this last semester I felt that excitement.. like WHOOOOO I invented something completely me! And I can't wait to have a show... blarblar...
And now I am like... AHHHHHHHH where is inspiration and motivation when you need it!
But you are right Fiona, it's crazy how much has changed in my work since I graduated last year..
