STRATA - MFA Group Exhibition 2008 and the Mid-weekly update

Hello Friends,

So as most of us Concordia MFA students, I'm also in the MFA group exhibition. We just hung the show, Monday, Tuesday and Today. And I would say what I have seen there so far.. is damn good! So if you are in the Area, come to the Vernissage on Friday! What I find really interesting about this exhibition is that in addition to organizing it the group of students that has taken over actually also organized a catalogue being put together. This includes little essays written by arthistory students about our work. :D I thought that's a fantastic idea! And I am happy I am in that catalogue! Big Thank you to those who organized the show! Photos of the show and vernissage will be posted this weekend :).

I worked on that damn Lithostone until 10 o'clock last night. I also printed layer numbero uno onto the fabric that I bought. To make more of the "weird" fabric things. Yeah I still don't know what they are but it feels right to make them, so I printed I think about 13 more sheets and as soon as the otherside is printed as well I'll be sewing away. Today in exactely 2 weeks is the final critique ... totally running out of time but it's ok. I'll do as much as I can.

So here is a little update on the progress of the lovely and beautiful Grandmother from Chad.
